SKY ARCHITECT - Excavations Of The Mind |
| Sky Architect is a five-piece progressive rock band revisiting and reinventing the early prog sound for this new millennium on their debut effort. Invoking the likes of King Crimson and Gentle Giant, Sky Architect pushed their prog through the modern filter of The Flower Kings and Porcupine Tree. The result is quite magical, complex yet entertaining, with a certain bit of perplexing innovation (take note of the fourth track Deep Chasm Part 4: Chasm). If anything, Sky Architect has learned well from their early prog forbears: never be dull and, wherever possible, keep your listener a tad bit off balance. The singular deftness and daftness of The Deep Chasm suite or Russian Wisdom do just that. You want to keep listening because it's all very intriguing and, if by some dumb reason, you step out of the room you're sure to miss something, possibly something important. (part of review from dangerdog.com) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

TEMPANO - Selective Memory |
| Finally a new studio album from this brilliant South American progband. These extraordinary musicians from Venezuela play progressive rock mixed with a little jazzfusion in a style reminding of Camel and Happy The Man with touches of King Crimson and Return To Forever. As with their previous albums (Agony and Ecstacy, Childhood's End and Atabal Yemal) this comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

MARS HOLLOW - Mars Hollow |
| Finally! A new band that both know how to play, and how to write good, complex prog songs. Mars Hollow draw their inspiration from the legendary 70's progacts, yet with a fresh approach. An excellent album from an excellent American prog band that will be up there together with Spock's Beard, IZZ, Little Atlas, Frogg Café, Hamadryad and other great new American prog bands. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
