BROCK, TERRY Diamond Blue 160,00 SEK

Second solo album from the former voice of Strangeways, Giant and Seventh Key. One of the best rock singers in the world today, and once again he's working together with Mike Slamer, so the guitar playing is simply awesome as usual when Mr. Slamer is involved. Simply a must for lovers of melodic hard rock. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Spock's Beard's tenth album, and once again The Beard proves that they are the best progact today. The new album is again a mix of the modern Beard and the more sytmphonic style of the early albums with Neal Morse. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

WINDMILL To Be Continued 165,00 SEK

One of the true symphonic high lights of 2010 is here! Norwegian Windmill play symphonic rock in the style of Arena, Pendragon and IQ. Only that they take it a bit further with folk and fusion elements, which makes all more interesting. Beautiful soaring guitars, flutes and keyboards along with a great singer that has a very personal voice. Just irresistible! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Awesome melodic progressive hard rock/metal from Portugal. Long elaborated tracks and great vocals in English in front of a tight and hungry band. Certainly no rip off. Highly original, but nevertheless easy to access. RECOMMENDED

New CD
STATE COWS State Cows 165,00 SEK

What a treat! Clearly the best West Coast release this year! When Daniel Andersson started working on a follow up to his first solo album "Days In L.A." (2008) he found that Stefan Olofsson was involved in almost every part of the upcoming collection of songs so they decided to create a new band instead, called State Cows. Already from the first track I'm blown away. Clear influences from Maxus and early Marc Jordan comes to mind and lots of Daniel all over as well. This my friends is pure musical magic and to make it even more interesting they've managed to get a solo from Mr West Coast himself, Jay Graydon. This genre is truly alive and well in 2010 and these guys from the north of Sweden are responsible for putting smiles on many West Coast fans faces. A true must have!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

New CD
SKY ARCHITECT Excavations Of The Mind 165,00 SEK

Sky Architect is a five-piece progressive rock band revisiting and reinventing the early prog sound for this new millennium on their debut effort. Invoking the likes of King Crimson and Gentle Giant, Sky Architect pushed their prog through the modern filter of The Flower Kings and Porcupine Tree. The result is quite magical, complex yet entertaining, with a certain bit of perplexing innovation (take note of the fourth track Deep Chasm Part 4: Chasm). If anything, Sky Architect has learned well from their early prog forbears: never be dull and, wherever possible, keep your listener a tad bit off balance. The singular deftness and daftness of The Deep Chasm suite or Russian Wisdom do just that. You want to keep listening because it's all very intriguing and, if by some dumb reason, you step out of the room you're sure to miss something, possibly something important. (part of review from dangerdog.com) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
